Exposure to cold temperatures, whether indoors or outside, can cause serious or even life-threatening health problems.

This winter seems like its going on and on and on in some parts of the country.  To keep yourself and your family safe, you should know how to prevent cold-related health problems and what to do if a cold-weather health emergency arises.  Winter weather increases the likelihood of carbon monoxide exposure from improper use of generators and inadequately ventilated gas-fueled heaters. Other common cold-related problems are hypothermia and frostbite. CDC has published a list of resources that address these serious winter problems.  Take the time now to familiarize yourself with this important life saving information…and spread the word to your family and friends.
